Arctur d.o.o.
Established in 1992, Arctur has progressed to become the main Slovenian commercial supplier of Cloud Computing services & solutions, High Performane Computing and innovative Web Services in a distributed, high-redundancy environment. The company has extensive experience in programming, server virtualization and deployment, integration of disparate IT-systems, IT support of project-management and server farm leverage for the deployment of Software as a Service (SaaS). Understanding the importance of continuous progress, Arctur has its own R&D department, registered with the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS). Arctur is involved in joint R&D projects with research institutes, universities and other R&D organizations from EU and overseas on the regular basis. The research areas covered are directly implemented in various real-life solutions and products, e.g. universal accessibility interfaces, e-government and e-inclusion applications and complex management.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT
e-Infrastructure provider for the pilot of task T4.1. ARCTUR will also participate to task T3.4 Strategic Research Agenda and to task T2.1 Study on key characteristics and requirements.
CONTACT PEOPLE
- Tomi Ilijaš (tomi.ilijas@arctur.si) is Arctur’s CEO. He holds a degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from Ljubljana University. He has extensive experience in managing international ICT projects, as well as planning of complex IT systems, combined with profound understanding of cutting-edge technologies, and their impact on users.
- Marko Kobal is Arctur’s CTO. He holds a degree in Computer Sciences from Ljubljana University. In last years he is intensively involved in Cloud Computing and High Performance Computing, development of algorithms based on applied mathematics, and research in the area of code parallelization. In CIVIC EPISTEMOLOGIES he will lead Arctur’s contribution to the technical work.
